Grammar Focus: Present Simple
Present Simple — одно из самых важных времён в английском языке.

Когда используется Present Simple
Present Simple используется для:

Расписаний и регулярных событий
The shop opens at nine. — Магазин открывается в девять.
We start work at nine. — Мы начинаем работу в девять.
Образование Present Simple
1. Утвердительные предложения
I / You / We / They + глагол (base form)
He / She / It + глагол + -s / -es
I work every day. — Я работаю каждый день.
You live near here. — Ты живёшь рядом.
We like tea. — Мы любим чай.
They read books. — Они читают книги.
He works in an office. — Он работает в офисе.
She lives in London. — Она живёт в Лондоне.
It starts at nine. — Это начинается в девять.
2. Отрицательные предложения
I / You / We / They + do not (don’t) + глагол
He / She / It + does not (doesn’t) + глагол
I don’t work on Sunday. — Я не работаю в воскресенье.
We don’t drink coffee. — Мы не пьём кофе.
She doesn’t like coffee. — Она не любит кофе.
He doesn’t work at home. — Он не работает дома.
Обратите внимание:
после do / does глагол всегда используется в начальной форме.
3. Вопросительные предложения
Do + I / you / we / they + глагол?
Does + he / she / it + глагол?
Do you work every day? — Ты работаешь каждый день?
Do they live near here? — Они живут рядом?
Does she work in an office? — Она работает в офисе?
Does he like tea? — Он любит чай?
Краткие ответы:
Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
Yes, she does. / No, she doesn’t.
Слова-маркеры Present Simple
Present Simple часто используется со словами:
every day — каждый день
usually — обычно
often — часто
always — всегда
sometimes — иногда
on Mondays — по понедельникам
I usually wake up early.
She often reads in the evening.
We work on weekdays.
Порядок слов в предложении
Подлежащее + глагол + дополнение + обстоятельство
I work in an office.
She reads books in the evening.
They go to work by bus.
Если вы говорите о своём обычном дне — используйте Present Simple.
Запоминайте формы do / does вместе с вопросами и отрицаниями.
Учите глаголы сразу в простых предложениях, а не отдельно.

A Simple Day in My Life
I live in a small town near the city. My life is simple, and I enjoy it. Every morning I wake up at seven o’clock. I get up, wash my face, and make breakfast. I usually eat eggs and drink tea. I like quiet mornings and simple food.
